About HendArt

A stained-glass studio shaped by light, colour and handcraft

HendArt is an art and design brand inspired by the way coloured glass changes with light, and by the idea of bringing that transformation into living spaces.

To us, stained glass is more than a decorative object. It is a living piece that changes with its surroundings throughout the day, filtering light and casting colour onto nearby walls and surfaces. It may appear softer in the morning, brighter in the afternoon and completely different by evening. That is what makes stained glass special: the same work reveals itself anew whenever the light changes.

Every HendArt piece begins with the design stage. Shapes, colours and glass textures are chosen not only for their beauty, but for the way they work together in balance. The glass is then cut, shaped and carefully assembled by hand. This process requires attention, patience and a strong understanding of the material.

The artists working in our studio understand both the creative side of stained glass and the technical details of making it. A line must not only look beautiful; it must also be possible to cut, the pieces must join securely and the finished work must be built to last. Every design is therefore developed with a careful balance between beauty and practicality.

Because each piece is handmade, no two works are completely identical. Small differences in glass texture, colour movement and the details created during production give each piece its own character. We see these variations not as flaws, but as a natural part of handcraft and originality.

Our designs are often inspired by nature, birds, flowers, plants, colour and simple geometric forms. Sometimes we create a small, cheerful object; at other times, a larger panel that becomes the focal point of a space. Wall and window panels, mirrors, decorative glass objects and bespoke commissions all form part of HendArt's work.

One of the things we value most is making every piece with genuine care and enjoyment. From the first line of the design to the final solder joint, we stay involved in every stage of production. We want the finished work not only to look beautiful, but also to bring warmth and personality to the space it belongs in.

If you have a particular colour, subject or space-specific piece in mind, you can share it with us. Together, we can develop a design that reflects your idea while remaining suitable for the possibilities of stained-glass production.
